Bishop Edward J. Weisenburger will be the main celebrant at the annual Mass for Life at St. Augustine Cathedral on Jan. 11 at 9 a.m.
Father Domenico C. Pinti, diocesan Vicar for Life, said that the traditional Rose Ceremony will be part of the cemetery event. The ceremony involves a single rose to be place at a marker, dedicated to those who died from abortion, by a representative of every calendar year since the US Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion.
The walk is scheduled to begin around 10:30 a.m. and the cemetery service around noon. All are invited.
